AIRCRAFT - Register with the Division of
Aeronautics 334-8775
BOATS - $7.00 for boats up to 7 feet (add $2.00
for each additional foot in length)
CHILD CARE LICENSING -
State licenses are issued through regional Family and
Children's Services offices in the
Idaho Department of
Health and Welfare. Renewal of licenses is required every
two years. The following types of child care settings and
licensing requirements are available. [See Idaho Code

DRIVING - FEES and REQUIREMENTS
Idaho driver's license within 90 days of residing in Idaho.
Commercial Driver's License (CDL), within 30 days.
Students attending a college or university in Idaho and
members of the U.S. Military on active duty and their
dependents who hold a valid drivers license from another
state or country and who claim residency in that state or
country, are not required to obtain an Idaho driver's
license.
Age 14.5 for learners permit. Age 15 for daylight license.
Age 16 for license with completed drivers training program.
Age 17 (if in school) to take driving test. Age 18 if not in
school with no drivers education courses. Fees range from
$12.25 to $45.00
MOTORCYCLE - 11.50 (in addition to above license
fees)
HUNTING AND FISHING - As of January 1, 2008. Fees
may change without notice. Licenses, permits, validations
and tags expire Dec. 31.

$25.75; Combination hunting/fishing $33.50. Senior
combination (65 yrs old, 5-year residency) $11.75;
Disabled Persons combination $5.00; Military Furlough
combination $17.50; Junior hunting (12-17 yrs) $7.25;
Youth Small Game Hunting (10-11 yrs) $7.50; Junior
fishing (14-17 yrs) $13.75; Junior combination (14-17)
$17.50; Sportsman package $117.25.
- Nonresident License Fees – Hunting $141.50; Fishing
$82.00; Combination hunting/fishing $199.75. 3-day
salmon/steelhead (includes 3-day general fishing
license) $31.50; Junior season fishing $13.75. Daily
fishing is $11.50, each consecutive day at initial time
of purchase add $5.00. Small game hunting $81.75; Junior
mentored hunting (12-17 yrs) $7.25.
- Tags – Resident: Deer $19.75; elk $30.75; bear
$11.50, mountain lion $11.50; turkey $19.75; antelope
$31.25. Nonresident: deer $258.50; elk $372.50; bear
$151.75, mountain lion $151.75; turkey $67.50; antelope
$258.50 (General season is archery only.)

- Idaho resident children under 14 years of age may
fish without a license. Nonresident children under the
age of 14 may fish without a license if accompanied by a
valid Idaho fishing license holder. Any fish caught by
such nonresident children shall be included in the bag
and possession limit of the accompanying valid Idaho
license holder. Hunter Education Certificate Required.
Children under 12 are not permitted to hunt. All persons
born after January 1, 1975, must produce a hunter
education certificate or a previous year’s valid hunting
license before a license can be issued.
- Ask First - Idaho’s trespass law requires everyone
to obtain permission before entering private property
that is irrigated or cultivated. If the private property
is rangeland or forested, it’s the landowner’s
responsibility to post the property if they wish to
control access. These lands must be posted with signs or
orange painted fence posts nor more than 660 feet apart.
Always respect the property of others and ask first to
use or cross private property. Idaho “Courtesy Cardsâ€
are available from the Dept. of Fish and Game to provide
information from the hunter to the property owner.

IDENTIFICATION CARD - $6.50 (no age limit)
RECREATIONAL VEHICLES/TRAILER -
Motorhome and RV trailer owners are required to purchase a
Recreational Vehicle sticker. The cost of this sticker is
$8.50 for the first $1,000 of market value, and $5.00 for
each additional $1,000 or portion thereof of market value.
RV stickers are prorated on a quarterly basis for first-time
issuance.
VEHICLE REGISTRATIONS -
Must belong to Idaho resident or business. Must be titled in
Idaho. Must register and title vehicle(s) within 90 days.
