Laughing Dog Brewery in Sandpoint features a tap room, daily tours and a gift shop. You can find their brews on tap in area bars and in bottles at many local stores.
Also in Sandpoint you'l find McDuff's Brewing Company right downtown. They feature a full menu and brew on site. Their various beers are only available on the premisis but you can fill your growlers.
In keeping with the town’s colorful past, visitors to the Wallace Brewing Company can enjoy beers with mining and bordello-inspired monikers such as Dirty Blonde Ale, Jackleg Stout, RedLight Lager and Orehouse Amber.
BiPlane Brewing Co. in Post Falls serves up hand-crafted ales named after vintage aircraft such as the Gloster Gladiator, Sopwith and Bristol Bulldog.
For the barley-hop connoisseur, don’t miss the annual MicroBrews Festival in August at Silver Mountain in Kellogg, the micro-brew tasting event at Festival at Sandpoint or the annual Wine, Stein and Dine at the Greyhound Park and Event Center in Post Falls.
There are many popular North Idaho wine tasting events but if you aren’t here to catch one, Pend d’Oreille Winery in Sandpoint offers daily tastings of their award winning wines.
Coeur d’Alene Cellars (on Schreiber off Kathleen Ave.) is open for tastings at the winery and at Barrell Room #6 (Sherman Ave, downtown Coeur d’Alene).
Based in Post Falls, TimberRock Winery’s varietals can be sampled at Studio 107 on 4th St. in Coeur d’Alene.
Wines created from local and regional fruits, berries and rhubarb can be sampled and purchased at Sheppard Fruit Wines’ Tasting Room on Hwy 97 in Harrison. 689-WINE

Daanen’s Delicatessen (corner of Prairie and Government in Hayden, 208-772-7371) offers a variety of tastings events year round and weekly Friday tastings 4:30-7:00 pm. Their store has one of the best selections of wine and beer in the area.
