The Entree
Gallery at
Coolin Bay
(Priest Lake) is
currently
showing
"Expressions In
Color",
featuring the
dramatic oil
paintings of
internationally
recognized
wildlife artist
Terry Lee,
whose work can
be found in
prominent
galleries, and
in private and
corporate
collections
throughout the
world. The show,
which runs
through the end
of the season,
highlights Lee's
impressionistic
style of broad
sweeping strokes
and layers of
bold color,
resulting in
intense light
and shadow. His
use of large
canvasses and
vivid color
create a strong
sense of energy
and movement,
often causing
gallery visitors
to stop in
mid-sentence
when they come
upon his work.
Visitors at
the Coolin
gallery will
have an
opportunity to
meet Lee on
Saturday,
September 5th
from 1-4 pm,
when he will be
on the grounds
to demonstrate
his personal
style of oil
painting on
oversized
canvasses. The

Second Annual Suicide Prevention Walk
SPAN Idaho is walking all across Idaho this
October. We walk to remember one lost, and
to save one still with us. Suicide takes a
life in Idaho every 40 hours leaving behind
devastated family, friends, co-workers and
communities each time. Idaho consistently
ranks among the top ten states in number of
suicides per capita. Suicide is the second
leading cause of death among Idaho's youth.
Together we can change these statistics and
save lives. By walking to remember those
lost, we can also raise public awareness
about suicide as a preventable form of
death. We all have the ability to Save the
One next to us - at work, on the school bus,
at the dinner table. Join us in this
statewide effort and help save lives.

Artists Studio Tour of
North Idaho
Sculptors, painters, photographers, glass & wood
artists, weavers, jewelers and more open
their studios and demonstrate their works.
Each artist not only has art for sale, but
also is available for discussions about
subject matter or technique. Unique to this
Artists' Tour is the landscape that makes
the trip worth it; visiting tucked-away
studios in valleys, on river ridges, above
the lake and overlooking the spectacular
mountains of north Idaho. Studios open by
appointment all summer, but the last two
weekends of July , they are all open to the
public from 10-5 each day. Maps will be
available late spring and summer in local
businesses, or download a Tour map from the
web site and make it a destination.
