Silverwood Theme Park
Silverwood Theme Park has grown into one of the biggest and best amusement parks in the Pacific Northwest. Kids of all ages will enjoy a day at Silverwood!
8:00-9:00am Start the day off with a quick breakfast at Caruso’s Sandwich Company in Coeur d’Alene at Ironwood and Gov’t Way or in Hayden on Hwy 95 and Prairie Ave.
9:00-10:30am Take the kids to City Park and let them burn up some energy at the Ft. Sherman Playground or if they brought their boards, the Skate Park is across the street and off the right field fence of Memorial Field.
10:30-11:00 Drive north on Highway 95 passing through Hayden and past Garwood and Chilco. About 15 miles north of Coeur d’Alene you’ll see the towering roller coasters of Silverwood Theme Park.
11:00am-?? Silverwood opens at 11am daily (see schedule) and between the rides, attractions, shows and Boulder Beach, a full water park, you’ll find plenty to keep the whole family busy all day. Silverwood offers a variety of eating options but if you pack a picnic lunch you’ll have to leave the park (don’t forget to get stamped!) to eat it. Don’t be surprised if the kids ask to stay all day.
Figure a half hour or so to get back into Coeur d’Alene. If anyone has enough energy left at the end of this day you can spend it planning what you’ll do tomorrow. Don’t forget to keep your copy of The Guide to North Idaho handy.
